About meI am 33 years old (born 27. June 1968 in Trondheim), living in a small city in northern Norway called Mo I Rana [66º19'N 14º00'E] just a little south of the Arctic Circle. The city has about 25000 people. I work at Elkem Rana AS who makes ferrochrome that is used in production of stainless steel. Elkem Rana AS is part of the Elkem Corporation, the world largest producer of Ferro-alloys. I work on a 5-shift schedule. I am a member of the local union, Polarsirkelen Kjemiske Fagforening where I also are on the board as a Data- og teknologitillitsvalgt. Not sure how to translate that, but my work is with the use (and misuse) of data and new technology. I am on my second term now, being reelected earlier this year. Polarsirkelen Kjemiske Fagforening is part of NKIF who organize people in chemical industry in Norway. NKIF is a member organisation of the Norwegian Labour Union, LO. In my spare time I play around with my computer doing games (Harpoon, The Sims, Caesar III, MS Flight Simulator 98, Seven Kingdoms, Railroad Tycoon II, Settlers II & III, Sim City 3000, Pharaoh; well, you got the idea what kind of games I like...), raytracing (POV-Ray of course); programming a little bit in VB, watch TV (Hauppage WinTV) and movies, listen to music (classical to rock), reading SF, cooking and eating, and to sleep. I am also an At Large Member of ICANN My e-mail adress is svenerik@mailcity.com. My Computers My computers have names from the old Norse religion. They are connected by a 3Com Hub TP4.
